General Update & Battle Change

I'm back with a general update on the progess of Untold Story, as well as a fairly significant change to the battle system.

First things first, development is going very well! The standard mode is mostly finished. Some small balancing issues are still around, and I'm sure there are several typos/description errors abound (I find several every time I play), but overall it is fairly well balanced and finishable from start to end 100% Huge achievement!

I am aiming for three more playtests, and ironing out the issues and then it is DONE. Barring any setbacks, I am aiming for a late October to late Novemeber release date. Yes in 2025! Currently I am playtesting Hard Mode and so far it has been 'easy' but I'm still at the beginning and I can already see how it's going to be difficult, but very fun! Afterwards I want to do a quick Story Mode run just to ensure it works as intended (and hopefully get all the typos eliminated). After that I want to do one more, full 100% playtest on Standard Mode just to ensure it is up to my standards before release. 


As for the battle change...As I was playing Hard Mode I encountered something that has been there for 10 years and I never encountered...

It appears that by switching party members mid battle, if you inadvertently switched in a full party of characters that had already used their action, the game would crash 100% of the time. I never encountered it before because normally there are a lot more party members and switching isn't as important. In Hard Mode, it is a lot more frequent and there are less characters...

SO

I changed it. 

Going forward, you will still be able to switch your party members mid battle. However, you'll only be able to swap party members before taking any actions on a turn. You can freely swap characters at any point before that, but once you take one action, you party is locked for the turn. There is no more party switch cooldown. You are free to swap party members every turn so long as it is done before taking any actions. Despite being done out of neccessity, I actually enjoy this change quite a bit. Regardless, I cannot go back to the old way so I'll have to like it, but I think it'll make things more interesting.
