Hey and welcome to the August 2024 update for Untold Story. Let's get right into it!

Development Progress

I'll just get this out of the way now: I don't have much to share for this month. I did work on the game, and finished a few of the quests I needed, but by and large I did not get much done. I opted to take more of a mental break to recover my ideas and not burn myself out on gave development. It happens from time to time, but I'm really ready to hop back in and get this done. That said, there really isn't much to say that wasn't already said last month. Still the same quests, same parts, just a little less. 

How Much Longer?

I'm still on track for a June 2024 release. Even with this kinda off month, that's still doable. As said before, once I finally finish this skeleton and get the main thing complete, I'll be able to get a more concrete date.

Something New

To make up for not having much to say, for this month's edition of something new, I'll show you something truly new. 

This is Matilda, and she's one of the Main Playable Characters. 

I've kept her a secret all this time, but with the release less than a year away, I figured I should talk about her a bit. Now I still want some secrets, so I won't get too much into her. Matilda is essentially this game's White Mage class. Her skills revolve around adding various Status Buffs to the party.

For example, Rising Crescendo gives an ally 0 Energy Cost for a turn. Encore will grant an ally a 2nd action for a turn.  She has a lot more as well. If you couldn't tell, her skills revolve around Music. I guess that makes her more of a Bard class doesn't it? Either way, she is mainly a support character, and not a fighter. 

With Matilda, that makes 8 playable characters. I can't wait for you all to get to experience their stories! I apologize for the lack of an update this month, but I promise next month I'll have a lot more to share!
