No More Missing (Kinda)

This has been a mechanic change that I've honestly considered for quite a while now, but after watching HawkZombie playthrough the current build it sealed the deal for me. So, here's the big change:

Missing attacks is gone! (Kinda)

The way it is now, each weapon has an Accuracy percent. Obviously, that is the percent change that an attack will land. This is different for each weapon. Some, for example Roxy's Bows, where as low as 25% to make up for her high crit rate. Others were up to 100%. I am here to say that now every weapon will have an Accuracy stat of 100%.

In exchange for this baseline, every weapon will instead have different attributes to give players a reason to switch between them. Drake, for example. All of his Arms will have 100% Accuracy, but one might give a higher crit rate. One will allow him to attack twice for less damage. One will have less crit, but can inflict status ailments.

This is a welcome change. It follows suit with many other changes I've made to the battle system. With a guaranteed hit, players won't need to worry about that aspect. Instead, the choice of weapon will come down to what the player wants to achieve on any given turn. Do you use the weapon that lets you hit twice for guaranteed damage? Or do you take the one with a higher crit chance and hope you get lucky?

Now you'll notice I said missing is -kinda- gone. While every weapon will have 100% Accuracy, there are still enemies out there that will have Evasion. Players will still be able to miss attacks because the target is capable of dodging. I consider this an acceptable miss because it's another line of defense the enemies have. Reminder that Skills will always hit (except in the very rare cases of enemies having skill evasion), and the status ailment Sticky exists to remove the enemy evasion. Basically: missing because you got a bad roll on accuracy is annoying. The enemy dodging because the player opted not to inflict Sticky to guarantee the hit is on them.

That's all I got for today! See you next time!
